Shreveport, La. - Shreveport's new online parking app shows success.
City leaders say users and transactions have increased about 25-percent since the Park-Mobile app was launched in June.
It lets people to pay for parking through their smart-phones. You can use the "wallet feature" to pre-pay and avoid carrying change.
The city is offering "Twenty-Days of Winning Giveaway" where an app-user will win 25-dollars on their account.
"We'll be able to pull up all the users for that particular day. We'll choose a random winner, we'll contact them and let them know they've won and load their app with 25 dollars into their wallet," said Lorenzo Lee, parking services manager.
There's a 35-cent convenience fee using the Park-Mobile app, but if you pay through it's "Wallet" feature, the fee is only 15-cents.
