Man charged with arson in connection with Sabine Parish fire

SABINE PARISH - UPDATE:

A man has been charged with intentionally setting a fire at the SARC building in Many, LA.

On Wednesday, 25-year-old Brett T. Shoemaker, of Pleasant Hill, was arrested and booked into the the Sabine Parish Detention Center for Simple Arson and Criminal Trespass.  

Shoemaker is currently being held without bond.

 

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

A person of interest is in custody in connected to a fire Tuesday in Sabine Parish.

The fire destroyed the SARC building on San Antonio avenue in Many, LA.

No one was injured in the fire that started Tuesday evening. 

According to a post by the Many Police Department's Facebook page, an arres warrant  could be coming soon.

 

The Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
