UPDATE: Shooting at Shreveport gas station leaves man seriously injured

Shreveport, La. - UPDATE:

A man is fighting for his life after an armed robbery and shooting at a Shreveport gas station.

The shooting happened just before 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the AM/PM located in the 3800 block of Hearne Ave.

Investigators say an employee at the store, Galib Wadi, 49, was shot in the leg by an armed man.  The suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Wadi was transported to University Health with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as a black male, standing 5'11" tall and wearing a light blue hooded sweater.

UPDATE:  Shreveport police say it was the shop owner who was shot, he has grave injuries.  They say it looks like a robbery, but they are still investigating and cannot confirm it was a robbery at this time. 

 

Shreveport police are the scene of a shooting that took place on Hearn Ave at Emery St.  Shreveport police PIO tell us that one man has been shot, no work on the extent of his injuries.  It appears at this time have happened at a convenience store. 

There are about 13 police units on the scene at this time.  We have a crew on the way.
