Police nab suspect in Texarkana bank robbery

TEXARKANA, Ar. - A North Texas man has been arrested for allegedly holding up a bank in Texarkana, Arkansas.

The robbery happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Commercial National Bank in the 200 block of E. 4th St.

Officers patrolling nearby responded immediately to the robbery and captured the suspect, 33-year-old John
Robert Keith Daugherty of Azle, Texas.

Investigators recovered a sum of money, believed to have been taken in the robbery, from Daugherty's coat pocket.  They also recovered a robbery note left with the bank teller. 

Interviews are currently being conducted of Daugherty and the all witnesses.
