Greater Saint Mary Baptist Church on 2505 David Raines Rd. in Shreveport.  An Evening of Remembrance to follow from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Funeral services for Destini will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27 at Green Oaks High School Auditorium on 2550 Thomas E. Howard Dr. in Shreveport.

23 year old Destini Ruffins' life was tragically cut short this week, following a car accident on LA 3132 in Shreveport.

Her personality is what will be most missed by those she knew.

Monica Mickle says, "You were never around her when she wasn't smiling or she didn't keep you smiling."

Mickle has known Destini for 16 years.

"I would often tease her. I'd say NuNu we not going to call you that no more.  You're going to be Destini.  I want to see you're walking in destiny.

Monica says Destini had a strong relationship with her church family at Greater Saint Mary Baptist Church and her Pastor Collier Mickle.

"She was just so thoughtful and highly compassionate and she really loved her pastor and her church."

Destini and her 12 month old son were thrown from her vehicle Monday in the crash, her son Noah survived with only minor injuries.

"I guess I have some comfort in knowing that Damien is a great father and he is going to try and carry out that legacy."

Monica says Destini had big dreams and was working to create a legacy for her son.

"She never gave up on the things she wanted to do and she was always trying to better herself to be the best mom possible to Noah."
