Salute the Badge: NPSO Deputy shows new friend basketball tips

NATCHITOCHES PARISH, LA - The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office not only protect and serve, they also have time to pass along some basketball tips.

That's what happened on Thursday while Deputy Michael Giammone was patrolling in the Campti area.

Deputy Giammone saw a young man under the age of 10 dribbling a basketball in the parking lot of a former Campti business.

Deputy Giammone stopped his patrol unit, exited, talked with the young man for a few minutes became friends, then began to show him some basketball drippling training tips for the future.

The Sheriff's office posted this comment on Facebook:
'We care about our children and want them to be great examples in the future. #TakeTimeWithAChild'
