TEXARKANA, Tx. - UPDATE:
Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting over the weekend.
After receiving an anonymous tip Monday morning Texarkana, Texas Police located 39-year-old Takyme James and took him into custody at a home in the 2100 block of W. 16th.
James has been transported to the Bi-State Jail.
A suspect wanted in a fatal weekend shooting is on the run and authorities need your help tracking him down.
The shooting happened shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 3600 block of Jones St.
On Monday morning an arrest warrant for murder was issued for 39-year-old Takyme Devon James by Texarkana, Texas Police.
According to witnesses, James and 51-year-old Tony Sanders were involved a fight earlier in the day over a bet on a football game.
James later came to Sanders’ home, kicked open the front door, and shot Sanders in his hip.
Sanders was taken to Wadley Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
