Second Red River victim named

CADDO PARISH - The Caddo Parish Coroner's office has identified a man whose body was found in the Red River February 18, 2017.

Through the use of dental records, the victim in that incident has been identified as Justin M. Bennett, 27, of Bossier City.

Bennett's body was found the afternoon of Feb. 18 in the river near the Marie and Charles Hamel Memorial Park near the southern terminus of the Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway.

A few hours earlier, authorities had found the body of another man, who later was identified as Ramseize Williams, 40, of Shreveport, in the river under the Interstate 20 bridge. He was identified through fingerprints.

Investigation into the deaths continues.
