SHREVEPORT, La. - A Shreveport man convicted last month in Caddo District Court on several sex charges involving youths Friday was sentenced to 50 years in prison.
A Caddo Parish jury on Feb. 7 found Steven Darnell Robinson, 52, guilty of one count of molestation of a juvenile under age 13, and one count of molestation of a juvenile under 17, but older than 13.
Robinson, who was sentenced by Caddo District Judge Katherine Dorroh, must serve the first 25 years of his sentence without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
Dorroh ordered the two sentences to run consecutively.
Assistant District Attorney Treneisha Hill and Section 1 Chief Jason Waltman prosecuted the case. David McClatchey represented Robinson at trial and at sentencing.
