SHREVEPORT, La - After a long legal battle and weather delays due to flooding, the Shreveport Dog Park is now open to the public.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday. Dog owners and their furry friends were all invited to come out to check out the park.
The park is right off Clyde Fant Parkway near the Stoner Boat Launch.
It's a city park and will be maintained by Shreveport Parks and Recreation.
Caddo Parish is providing assistance with the park through the Caddo Parish Animal Control.
