Shreveport fire department hold open house

SHREVEPORT, La - Ever thought about becoming a fire fighter and you are between the ages of 18-29  well The Shreveport Fire Department held an Open House Career Day from 10 am until 1pm, Saturday at the Fire and Police Training Academy.

Personnel from the fire department was on hand to talk about what they do every day. Members of some of the specialized units within the department was there too, along with the recruiter, who explained what's all involved in becoming a fire fighter. 

If you missed today, you are still able to apply to become a fire fighter, the application is due on January 24, you can pick up a application at the Fire and Police Training Academy. Don't forget to bring your high school diploma, birth certificate, and personal i.d.
