UPDATE: Burglary suspect taken into custody

SHREVEPORT - UPDATE: Police say Deuntray Hill was taken into custody and booked into the city jail.

 

Shreveport Police Property Crimes Investigators are searching for a man they believe is responsible for breaking into a home in late 2016.

 On October 1, 2016, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to reports of a residential burglary in the 8800 block of Bernay Drive in south Shreveport. Deuntray Hill, 23 of the 3000 block of Woodford Street, allegedly forced entry into the residence and once inside took an undisclosed amount of property. Evidence left at the scene tied Hill to the burglary.

 On June 30, 2017 investigators with the Property Crimes Unit received notification that the evidence left at the scene was that of Deuntray Hill. Investigators procured a warrant for Hill’s arrest charging him with one count of Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling. His bond is set at $25,000. Deuntray frequents the Queensborough and Cedar Grove neighborhoods of Shreveport.
