'The Broken Bean' opens, benefiting those struggling with addiction

MINDEN-- - We have an update on a story we brought to you a while back, where the Minden Teen Challenge Program was in the process of opening their very own coffee shop.

Well those in the Minden area don't have to wait any longer as "The Broken Bean" opened their doors today.

It is the first ever coffee shop for the city of Minden.

100-percent of the money collected goes back to the Minden Teen Challenge Program, that gives those struggling with addiction a second chance at life.

"This is an opportunity for the ladies to just get reincorporated back into society in a productive manner," says Greg Dill, CEO LA Teen Challenge.

"It means more than I can really explain because I've had so many people help me when I came into the program so to just be able to give back and help others means more than I can even say," says Shasta Jones, Teen Challenge Participant.

They plan to open another location in Winnfield in the coming months.
