CADDO PARISH, La. - Crews continue to clean up after a train and an 18-wheeler collide early Tuesday morning in north Caddo Parish.
The accident happened shortly after 7 a.m. in the 14000 block of Hwy 1 South near Vivian.
Deputies say the driver of the tractor-trailer entered a private crossing and was unable to clear the tracks before a northbound KCS train approached and struck the rear of the truck.
The 18-wheeler, which was headed to Superior Tie and Timber, was hauling sand and the train cars were empty.
There were no injuries and no tickets were issued in the crash.
