Two die in Bossier Parish crash

DESOTO PARISH, La. - Two men died Sunday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash on Butler Hill Road in Bossier Parish according to Louisiana State Police.

Jason Cochran, 37, of Shreveport, and Larry Lenington-Taylor, 35, of Benton, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Bossier Parish coroner.

Just after 3:20 p.m. Sunday, LSP Troop G responded to a crash on Butler Hill Road just north of Louisiana Highway 162.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2007 Subaru Impreza driven by Cochran was traveling south on Butler Hill Road, when for reasons still under investigation, he lost control of the vehicle, ran off of the roadway and struck a tree.

Neither Cochran nor Lenington-Taylor, a passenger, was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained fatal injuries.

Toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
