CADDO PARISH, La. - The Coroner's Office has identified two people killed Tuesday in separate accidents in Caddo Parish.
The first crash happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the 7600 block of West 70th St.
Robert Lee Bain Jr., 22, of Shreveport, was killed when his silver 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck, traveling at a high rate of speed, left the road and struck two trees.
Heather Nicole Matingly, 27, also of Shreveport, died after her silver 2004 Toyota Solara, also traveling at a high rate of speed, ran off the road and struck a tree around 8:40 p.m. in the 9500 block of Old Mooringsport Rd. in Mooringsport.
Matingly was not wearing a seatbelt. She, along with a pet dog with her at the time of the accident, died at the scene.
Autopsies are pending and the accidents remain under investigation by the Shreveport Police and the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.
