A pair of Bossier high school students is one step closer to graduation by helping the Bossier City Police Department investigate crime scenes.

Benton High School senior Taylor Hodgkins and Parkway High School senior Ashley Liesveld have spent the past few months learning how BCPD solves crimes as part of their senior projects.

Since January Taylor and Ashley have learned about DNA analysis, photography and report writing.

Taylor and Ashley also collected evidence from simulated homicide scenes. In the end both students successfully processed their crime scenes and solved each case.

Taylor and Ashley now have to document their learning experience by writing multi-page reports for their English classes.
