Police search for triggerman in overnight shooting

Gun fire in the overnight hours lands one man in the hospital.

Shreveport Police say around 12:40 a.m., a man was walking in the area of West Canal Street when he heard gun shots.

The man told police he ran for cover, only to discover he had been struck by a bullet.

According to police, the alleged victim walked into Willis Knighton North nearly two hours later for treatment .

Police are still looking for the shooter.
