Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office is working its first homicide of 2014, with two people in custody.

Sheriff Gary Sexton says the body of 18 year-old Omar Lott was found in a wooded area off of Walter Lyons Road.

A relative made the discovery just before 2:00 p.m. Wednesday and called authorities.

Sheriff Sexton says Lott's body had multiple gunshot wounds, and had been there for a few days. At this time, investigators believe Lott's death was the result of a drug deal gone bad.

Lott's family says he had been missing since Sunday night, but they never reported him missing to police or sheriff's deputies.

We're told two people are in custody, but there's no word on their charges. Sheriff Sexton says he expects another arrest.

While the investigation is still in the early stages, Sheriff Sexton says he may have details Thursday morning.
