Marshall's police chief Leland Benoit is retiring after 25 years of service.
A special retirement party was held for Benoit today at the Marshall police department.
With Benoit stepping down the city must now begin the search for his replacement.
Benoit was named interim police chief last April after former police chief Stan spence retired.
The city will now search for a permanent police chief and hope to name one sometime this summer.
