It was all part of the group's "Pennies for Pasta."

Students collected donations, and the class with the highest amount of money raised were treated to a pasta lunch, compliments of the Olive Garden.

A check in the amount of $3,465.98 was presented by the principal to Mr. Aiden Rideout, a leukemia patient at St.Jude's Hospital. His mother, Courtney Rideout, accepted the funds, and expressed her appreciation and thanks for the students helping her son. The students of Youree Drive welcomed Aiden, and he was made an honorary Spartan for the day.
