Your health matters to Shreveport Green who held a mobile market for the Cedar Grove neighborhood today.
The mobile market was set up at the recreation center selling fresh veggies and fruit.
Their aim is to reduce obesity and encourage healthy living.
Healthy recipes were also given to accompany the locally grown food.
Executive Director Donna Curtis says, “The idea is to get the whole picture together. That we grow food and that were able then to prepare it healthily and then you can eat it and it’s delicious, it’s delicious food."
The mobile market is the last stage of Shreveport Green's part of the Blue Cross Blue Shield grant.
They have created 8 community gardens in the past two years.
