Police are looking for a teen accused of shooting a woman in west Shreveport.

According to the Shreveport Police Department it happened just after 10:00 p.m. on June 26th.

Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported shooting in the 6700 block of Buncombe Road.

Upon arrival, patrolmen found 23 year old Jessica Bernard suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Bernard was subsequently transported to University Health Center by the Shreveport Fire Department with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators were notified and, based on information and evidence gathered during their ongoing inquiry, believe Bernard and two other individuals were engaged in a transaction involving the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics when the suspect, identified as 17 year old Eudarrius Gooden, fired shots at the group, ultimately striking Bernard.

Authorities obtained a warrant for Gooden’s arrest charging him with one count of aggravated second degree battery. His bond is set at $50,000.

Anyone with any information regarding this shooting or the whereabouts of Eudarrius Gooden is urged to contact Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 or www.lockemup.org
