Texarkana Police investigate shooting

Update at 8:45am:

Texarkana, Texas Police say the suspect arrested is 14-years-old.

Update at 6:45am:

Texarkana, Texas Police say that the incident was a robbery attempt.

The victim has also been identified as Luciando Dominguez of Hope, Arkansas.

His condition is still not known.

Late Wednesday night, officers arrested a male juvenile for his involvement in this crime and charged him with aggravated robbery and evading arrest on foot.

Additional charges against the juvenile may be filed very soon and additional arrests are expected.

Texarkana, Texas Police are looking into a shooting that happened around 7:30pm Wednesday.

It happened at the 13 Hermanos Carniceria, a store in the 2300 block of New Boston Road.

According to witnesses, three young male juveniles went into the store around 7:30pm and said they wanted to buy a bag of chips.

One of the three then pulled a gun and shot the 36-year-old store employee once in the chest.

The suspects fled on foot toward the Beverly neighborhood.

The victim was taken to Wadley Regional Medical Center by LifeNet.

His condition isn't known at this time.

It's not clear at this point if this was a robbery attempt or not, but that hasn't been ruled out.

Information is limited at this time, but detectives spent most of the night on scene.
