Saturday morning thousands lined the streets of downtown Shreveport to take part in the 27th annual Black History month parade.
The parade featured many marching bands from the area as well as beads, cups, floats, and candy.
NBC 6 News asked many of the parade goers what was their favorite part of the parade; they say it's all about the kids and the music.
The parade rolled down the majority of Texas Avenue as thousands were on hand to celebrate the day one of Black History Month.
