The Ice Bucket Challenge has made a huge impact in raising awareness about ALS, but there are still local people living with ALS who don't know how to get help.

So today the ALS association of Louisiana held a symposium at Willis-Knighton's Pierremont Hospital.

The group helps ALS patients and their families with healthcare, resources and training.

They conduct fundraisers across the state with their "Walk to Defeat ALS."

The next one takes place October 18th at the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City.

So far the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has raised more than $93-Million dollars nationwide.
