A local man is sought by authorities relative to his alleged involvement in a shooting in west Shreveport earlier this year.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 18-tear-old Jason Braziel, a suspect in a shots fired incident earlier this summer.

Shreveport Police officers on June 28, 2014, responded to a shots fired call relative to the intersection of Sunset Drive at Grove Street.  Upon their arrival, SPD officers learned the victim's vehicle had been riddled with bullets by a suspect who reportedly fired rounds from a moving vehicle as the victim drove away.

Officers collected evidence of the shooting at the scene, while detectives initiated an investigation into the matter.  The investigation linked Braziel,  of the 2900 block of West Laurel Street in Shreveport, to the crime, and he now is a suspect.

The warrant charges Braziel with a single count of Illegal use of a weapon from a vehicle along with a Felon in possession of a firearm charge.  Bond in the matter was set at $50,000.

Persons with information on the whereabouts of Jason Braziel are urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or visit their website at
