A man who is accused of stealing a $75,000 car from a local dealership last week has been arrested in Texas.

Detectives with the Bossier City Police Department Property Crimes Unit obtained an arrest warrant Tuesday for 37-year old Mark Burkett.

Burkett was arrested in Baytown after the vehicle he was driving was stopped for a traffic violation.

Burkett was taken into custody on a charge of felony theft for stealing a 2014 Audi A7 last Friday after taking it on a test drive from Moffitt Audi in the 1900 Old Minden Rd.

Burkett was arrested in Baytown, Texas late Tuesday night after police there stopped the vehicle he was driving for a traffic violation.

The Audi was recovered earlier this week in Panola Co. and returned to the dealership.

Burkett also faces unrelated charges in Houston which could delay efforts to extradite him to Bossier City.
