Police are trying to track down two armed suspects who committed a home invasion in west Shreveport.

The incident happened shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday at a house in the 8000 block of Gilmer Bayou Lane.

A woman told investigators that she was awakened from her sleep after two men, both armed with hand guns, kicked in a door to her home, made entry and demanded money and valuables at gunpoint.  The men allegedly claimed to be Shreveport Police officers.

The suspects then fled on foot running north behind the neighborhood.

The victim and her two small children were not hurt.

The first suspect is described as a black male of stocky build, standing 6' tall and armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male with a thin build, standing 5' 9" tall and had large eyes. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact Caddo-Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
