The Animation, Visual Effects and Interactive Content program is a one-year accelerated course that prepares students for careers in digital media.  The program trains students in both 3D and 2D topics including animation, modeling, lighting, surfacing, rendering, motion tracking, 2D-3D integration, compositing and rotoscoping.

Industry-grade work stations, software and render farm are available to students as well as a 1500 sq. ft. digital media stage facility.  This studio features a green screen cyc wall, multi-actor motion capture, professional grade digital cinema cameras, lighting and equipment.

The Digital Media Institute at InterTech offers day and night sessions which are both a year in length and students leave with extensive training in industry-standard programs and applications.  The program is open to any student with a high school diploma or GED.  All applicants must participate in a 4 hour vetting module and be interviewed by faculty members.  Scholarships are available to qualified applicants for a limited time.  Classes start this fall.

The Digital Media Institute at InterTech was founded in 2014 as a division of the Biomedical Research Foundation of Northwest LA and is licensed as a proprietary school by the Board of Regents.  The DMII is unique regionally as a private nonprofit, whose mission is targeted to economic development in digital media.
