Bossier City Police arrest suspect in double homicide

Bossier Police make an arrest Saturday, just seven days after two young woman are discovered dead in their home on Bragg Street. 

Bossier Police have arrested Brandan Santrell Butler, 26 of Bossier City. Police obtained a warrant for his arrest, charging him with two counts of first degree murder. He was taken into custody without incident around 2 a.m. Saturday in Bogalusa, LA. 

He's accused of killing Jacqueline Beadle, 24, and Karyl Cox, 26, both of Bossier City. They were roommates and police say Butler was one of their friends. Authorities believe he shot shot them inside their home and drove away in Karyl Cox's car. It was later found by police, parked in the 4800 block of Sheryl Street. Beadle's mother discovered them dead around 8:15 a.m., May 11. 

Butler remains in Bogalusa. Police expect to extradite him soon. His bond is set at $2 million.
