Sgt. Johnnie Estess with the Bossier Sheriff's Office "arrests" Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington.

Thursday morning's arrest was part of the 2014 Bossier City Lock-Up to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

A warrant was issued for Sheriff Whittington's arrest with a bond amount of $800, which had to be met by accepting donations from family, friends and businesses.

At arrest time Sheriff Whittington had more than double his bond amount and was bailed out immediately by raising $1,797 to support MDA and help cure muscular dystrophy, ASL-Lou Gehrig's disease and related diseases.
