You can expect traffic to move a little slower than normal if you travel on two bridges in Bossier Parish.

Starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 8 the Jimmie Davis Bridge over the Red River west of US 71 will be restricted to one lane of traffic.

DOTD officials say the closure will allow vehicles 10 feet wide or smaller to pass through the Bridge Inspection zone.  Larger vehicles must detour using US 71 north to LA 3032 west to LA 1 south.

Meanwhile, starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 9 the west bound lanes of the Texas St. Bridge over the Red River west of LA 3 will be reduced to one lane of traffic.

The closure will also allow vehicles 10 feet wide or smaller to pass through the Bridge Inspection zone. Larger vehicles must detour using LA 1 to LA 3032 or LA 3 to US 71 to LA 3032.

Both inspections should be wrapped up by 3 p.m.
