For two years Rep. Henry Burns has been crafting a Bill (HB 10) that would allow off duty officers to bring their concealed weapon to a restaurant that serves alcohol. His bill has been combined (HB 72) with another measure to allow anyone with a concealed handgun permit to do the same.
It passed in the criminal justice committee and heads to the House floor in the next several weeks.
