Correctional officer behind bars for improper conduct with an inmate

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Correctional Officer has been arrested for allegedly having inappropriate behavior with a prisoner.

On Friday NPSO Deputies received a complaint from a female inmate housed at the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center reporting that a Correctional Officer allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday Lindsey Hoke, 28, was arrested and charged with 1-count of Forcible Rape and 3-counts of Malfeasance in Office;  Sexual Conduct Prohibited with Persons in Custody. So far no bond has been set.

According to Chief of Corrections Deputy Calvin McFerrin, Hoke had been employed as a Correctional Officer at the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center since 2008 and recently been promoted to a supervisory position.
