The Journey of Hope is a cross country bike ride to raise money for people with disabilities.

Push America and the fraternity Pi Kappa Phi sponsored the event and private donors give money that hospitals and organizations can gain access to through grant applications.

All the money raised will go to people with disabilities.

Each cyclist has a goal of raising $5,5000.

The Southern Group started out in Long Beach and came though Shreveport today and visited with children at the Shriner;s Hospital before heading on to Monroe.

By the end of the ride Push America expects all the teams across the country to raise over $500,000.
