Next week Shreveport City Council will continue discussion of creating a solid waste fee schedule for large bulky items that people leave behind.

A possible three scenarios sit on the table:
1. A $20 fee when you want specific items picked up and thrown away.
2. Increasing everyone's monthly bill by $1.50.
3. A $2.50 bill increase for all citizens for not only trash pickup, but the creation of a garbage abatement program to tackle all the problems left behind without anyone to blame.

"You don't want it in your neighborhood driving down your property value. We also don't want it when we bring in visitors from out of town and having them see that," Councilman Sam Jenkins said.
