Ebola patient heading to U.S.

One of two Americans in Africa currently infected with the deadly Ebola virus will be brought to Atlanta for treatment.  Dan Scheneman reports.

As the death toll from the Ebola outbreak grows in africa a hospital in the United States is preparing to care for a patient suffering from the deadly virus.

More than 1,300 have been infected and more than 700 people have died in West Africa.

Two of those are Americans, volunteers helping others in the region.

Emory University Hospital in Atlanta is preparing its special facility containment unit designed to treat patients with serious infectious diseases to care for one ebola patient.

Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol were working to fight the disease in Liberia when they were infected.
