A man accused of a string of property crimes in south Shreveport has been arrested in Dallas, Texas.

Johnathon Igbokwe, 30, was taken into custody around 5:30 p.m. Sunday by U.S. Customs Agents at DFW's International Airport. He was attempting to board a British Airway's plane that was destined for Africa.

Igbokwe had eluded local authorities for weeks after a warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with more than a dozen residential burglaries.

Igbokwe has been transported to the Dallas Co. Jail where he now awaits extradition hearings.
