Expect slow going on interstates this holiday weekend.
By Friday morning millions of Americans were getting an early start on Memorial Day.
"Everybody's been cooped up with all the snow and ice and all that, so now that the weather is really aswesome I think people are getting out and taking advantage of it," says traveler Sara Legler.
AAA has the same belief.
They expect a record 36 million people to get out and travel, nine out of ten by car.
