Three men face burglary charges after allegedly kicking in the doors of several homes in Shreveport and Greenwood.

Gardarius Williams, 18, Katryle Bryant, 22, and Garlandous Cathron, 21, were taken into custody by Caddo Parish authorities.

One of the burglaries happened around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 6900 block of Jefferson-Paige Rd.

Investigators say the homeowner arrived at the house and found the front door kicked in. An alarm system at the home also took pictures of a suspect inside the house.

An hour later, deputies were dispatched to the 10,000 block of Woolworth Rd. where three suspects tried to kick in the front and back doors of a home. The suspects fled when a woman inside the home screamed.

The suspects' Mercury Marquis was later pulled over during a traffic stop on Colquitt Rd. at Freedoms Way when authorities discovered a stolen pistol in the car.

Deputies used evidence collected at the scenes to link the men in the car to the burglaries.

Williams, Bryant and Cathron have been charged with the burglary on Woolworth, a burglary in the 8800 block of Greenwood Rd. that occurred on April 30 and illegal possession of a stolen firearm.

Williams and Bryant were also charged with the burglary on Jefferson-Paige.

Cathron was also charged as a fugitive and Bryant was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Detectives say more charges against the three are pending. At least four other similar burglaries are under investigation.
