Local man indicted on Capital Murder in taxi driver death

A Caddo Parish Grand Jury today indicted Reginald Williams, 24, on First Degree Murder in the July 5 death of Carlos Jenkins, 38.

Williams is accused of shooting Jenkins in the head, causing the taxi he was driving to crash into a building in the Woodlawn Terrace Apartment Complex.

Police said witnesses said they saw a man running from the crash; a short time later, Williams was found with a broken leg, believed to have been sustained in the crash.
