After shifts in management and stores coming and going, the Outlets at Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City is announcing two new retailers.
Torrid is already open, and J. Crew Factory will open in November.
"As of about a year ago, we have a new management company that does our leasing for the Boardwalk, all our national leasing for the Boardwalk, and they were able to bring J. Crew to the market, and they really like the boardwalk and chose us for their new home," says Ashley Davis, Marketing Manager for Outlets at the Louisiana Boardwalk.
Torrid is a women's clothing store for sizes 12 and up. J. Crew carries women’s, men’s and children’s clothes.
Shoppers say after seeing so many empty spaces it's great to have new choices.
"Me and my family are really excited,” says Ladonna Young. “We like to come down here about once a month, and shop and get all of our shopping out, and knowing that more stores are coming, it's very exciting for us."
"We're always glad to see more stores coming into the area,” says Kyiomi Morris. “It'll give us something different to look at and shop."
But there are still some attractions they're looking forward to.
"Maybe more restaurants, I mean, we're down here for a very long time, and so more choices would be nice," says Young.
"More shoe stores, more known name brands from different areas, maybe a Macy's outlet, something like that would be good," says Morris.
Boardwalk management says along with Torrid and J. Crew, we can expect to see even more retailers moving in at the beginning of next year.
Also, this week Mall St. Vincent also announced a new store for their property.
The Swedish retailer H&M is set to open this fall.
