The Louisiana Digital Jobs Interview Event will be held from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27 at the Shreveport Convention Center on 400 Caddo St.
It will feature a consortium of technology employers who will meet with job seekers and conduct interviews.
Employers participating and meeting with applicants will be CenturyLink, CDIT, CSC, IBM and CGI. The event is supported by LED FastStart®, the nation's No. 1 state workforce development program for the past five years.
Positions in high demand for the digital companies include software programmers, engineers and developers. You are urged to upload résumés in advance at LouisianaDigitalJobs.com/Shreveport. Several thousand jobs in software and digital media technology will be filled in Louisiana in the next two to three years.
LED FastStart program manager Ara Rubyan said, "Our goal is to try to attract people who have a skill set in technology, software development and digital media - and to connect those people with opportunities in Louisiana."
Working with partner companies in the Louisiana Digital Jobs consortium, LED FastStart already has conducted interview events in Atlanta; Orlando, Florida; and Jackson, Mississippi.
