Marshall City Manager chooses new police chief

Marshall City Manager Buzz Snyder says he will recommend to the commission that they appoint Jesus Campa as Marshall Police Chief tonight during a special commission meeting.

The commission will go into executive session to interview Campa.  The commission will then come back to order and it will be brought up for a vote. 

If the commission votes in favor of Campa his hiring will be contingent on a physical exam, drug screen and background check. 

In Harrison County... Marshall has a new police chief.

 Acting city manager... Buzz Snyder appoints Jesus Campa as the next police chief.

 An appointment was supposed to be made at the last meeting..
 However... Snyder said he wanted to be sure the commission was aware of who was recommended for the position.
