There is a place to turn to for help if you have a family member suffering from Alzheimer's.

The local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is holding special support seminars through the month of May.

The Alzheimer's Information Meetings for Caregivers provides information about the disease and how to take care of a loved one that has it.

All of the seminars will take place from 10 a.m. until noon in Room 226, Bldg. D at Bossier Parish Community College on 6220 E. Texas.

Here's a list of upcoming meetings:
  • May 13 - Caring for a Loved One with Alzheimer's, An Emotional Journey
  • May 20 - Planning for Long Term Care Costs
  • May 27 - Effective Dementia Screening
You can register for the seminars by calling the Alzheimer's Association at (318) 861-8680.
