You are being advised to boil your water if you live in the Martin Luther King community.

The City of Shreveport Water and Sewerage announced the boil advisory Tuesday afternoon due to a valving down of a water main.

The boil advisory also includes Northside Elementary, Green Oaks High, Pine Grove Elementary and Southern University at Shreveport.

You should boil your water for one minute before eating, drinking, making ice or brushing your teeth.

The boil advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
