Mothers concerned after sexual assault arrest
By Christian Henson | firstname.lastname@example.org
Kids playing in the park shouldn't worry parents but Laretha Moore is frightened now that a man has been arrested for molesting young girls near Hattie Perry Park.
Moore said "They didn't catch him after the first time and it's really terrifying with having little girls you know."
24 year old Antonio Green was arrested Friday for sexual misconduct with a 5 and a 14 year old girl. Kids around the neighborhood go out by themselves but Moore says that has to change.
Moore said "Being around the neighborhood , you know, sometimes they walk to the candy lady and get freeze cups and stuff like that, you know they might come to the park by themselves for anything."
Even with older siblings looking after kids Moore says its not worth the risk.
"They can turn their back and the child will get away within a second," Moore said "you know, they might be doing something else, playing with the other kids and then the child end up disappearing you know or missing."
Latiesha Moore used to live near Hatti Perry Park but she moved away because the neighborhood was changing.
Latiehsa Moore said "Crime too and a lot of people hanging out. I know the stuff that happened at this park up here too like violence and stuff like that so we moved out to a better neighborhood."
