Natchitoches authorities nab three men for burglar

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Deputies have arrested three men in connection with a residential burglary near the Clarence community.

The burglary happened around 1:30 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 100 block of Oakley Jones Rd.  Investigators say the suspects forced their way into the home through a window.

Items reported stolen were a Remington .22 caliber rifle, Remington .270 caliber bolt-action rifle, Remington 12 gauge shotgun, Ruger .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol, Marlin 30-30 caliber lever action rifle, Stoeger Luger .22 caliber revolver, RG .22 caliber revolver, CZ .32 caliber revolver, Mossberg 20-gauge pump action shotgun, jewelry, approximately $400-500 dollars in change and clothing items valued over $8,000.

After further investigation detectives identified and arrested the following suspects:

  • Otis Sneed Jr., 34, - booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center - charged with 1-count of Simple Burglary. Sneed has three other open felony cases of Simple Burglary, and two Possession of CDS Schedule II arrests pending in Natchitoches Parish.
  • David Houston, 46, - booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center - charged with 1-count of Simple Burglary.
  • Steven Crumbler, 31, - booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center - charged with 1-count of Simple Burglary.
Authorities say most of the items that were stolen have been recovered.
