Dr. Randall J. Webb, who announced his retirement as president of Northwestern State University earlier this year, will be honored with a lunch and reception.

The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28 at the Natchitoches Events Center on 750 Second St.  It will include a musical tribute, guest speakers, a scholarship presentation and video tribute.

The cost to attend the luncheon is $20 per person.  Guests should RSVP for the lunch by Monday, Aug. 25.  Dress is business casual.  Guests can register online to attend the lunch by visiting northwesternalumni.com/webb.

Following the luncheon, a reception will be held to honor Webb at 2:30 p.m. in the ballroom of the Sylvan Friedman Student Union.  The reception is free and open to all students, faculty, alumni, university supporters and the general public.

The reception and lunch precede Northwestern State's first home football game of the season versus Missouri State.  Kickoff set for 6 p.m. in Turpin Stadium.  The Webbs will be honored during half-time.

In July, Webb became Northwestern State's longest-serving president, having served in that role since 1996.
